Pre-natal and Post-partum

Yoga in Tribeca does not offer separate pre-natal and post-partum classes. Instead, we include these women in our regular classes and give them special attention. As each pregnancy and recovery is different, each student is given the postures appropriate to their condition.

I do advise that pregnant women who have not done yoga before or have not exercised recently, to begin before the end of their first trimester. The Basic 1 class would be the best class for someone new to yoga or out of shape. If you are new to yoga, but exercise regulary, you can take any other classes after the initial class. A pregnant or post-partum woman who has been practicing yoga regularly can start taking classes here at any time, and can come to any class they like.
